Our Oyster Farm Tour begins at Matunuck Oyster Bar with introductory information about East Matunuck Barrier Beach, Succotash Salt Marsh and Potter Pond Estuary. Perry Raso of Matunuck Oyster Farm will discuss aquaculture and fisheries on a global scale and a local scale. You will then visit the seven acre shellfish farm in Potter’s Pond. The tour takes about one hour and is held rain or shine.
Tours of the oyster farm are a unique feature of the Matunuck experience. Group tours and educational field trips show how shellfish are cultivated in local waters. Visitors see the different species of shellfish in many different stages of growth.
The tours and oyster farm were started with help from RI Sea Grant Reed Initiative funded project ”The Ocean State Aquaculture Education Project” in 2002. Although the grant has expired, Raso continues the tours because of the educational opportunities they provide and to increase people’s understanding of aquaculture and RI’s estuarian environment. With our tours we hope to encourage our visitors to take an active interest in supporting local aquaculturists and farmers.
*Each tour consists of 4 groups of 4 guests, for a total of 16 guests per tour.
Please note that we have limited seating and each group requires a ticket. Tours are held rain or shine and are only cancelled when thunder and lightning occurs. Please dress accordingly. Troy Gonyea has spent his fabled career working both sides of the musical street: touring the world supporting hall-of-fame-stature legends and using that unique experience to perfect his own sound. Now, with the release of his new live album, “Click Click Spark,” that two-lane journey has led the supremely talented guitarist, singer, songwriter, and bandleader to the intersection with stardom.
Troy Gonyea strapped on his first guitar at age thirteen and never looked back.
Before he was out of his teens, Gonyea was gigging with members of Muddy Waters’ band, playing at Buddy Guy’s Legends club in Chicago, and fronting his own trio.
By the time he hit his mid-thirties, Gonyea had toured the globe and recorded with legendary performers like Booker T Jones, Kim Wilson, Sugar Ray Norcia, James Harman, Jerry Portnoy, and Anthony Geraci, held down the prestigious guitar chair in the Fabulous Thunderbirds for four years, played on two Grammy-nominated recordings, and been nominated for a Blues Music Award and a Boston Music Award. Through it all he continued to front his own band, perform as a solo act, write his own music, and record two well-received CDs of his own.
“Click Click Spark” is the ultimate synthesis of what Troy Gonyea has learned from others and about himself. As writer Kim Field has noted, “His music is not blues, it’s not rock and roll, it’s not ‘roots music.’ It’s Troy Gonyea music.”
Front and center is Gonyea’s incredibly emotional and versatile guitar mastery, which has made him first call for tours and recording dates with so many stars. Gonyea’s famous peer, six-stringer Ronnie Earl, has noted that in the course of listening to Troy play a slow blues “I was able to hear the whole history of the blues.” No one on the scene today plays guitar with more feeling and authority than Gonyea, thanks to his long journey of learning from those who came before him—especially their insistence that one must find one’s own voice on the instrument.

Michael Cochran | Mike Hansel | Paul Menensis | Matt Noiseux | Derek Riley | Mark Wholey | Rob LorensonThe Bristol Art Museum is responsible for providing our community with cultural enrichment and enjoyment at all times. During this global pandemic, the arts have a special role in helping communities remain hopeful and connected. Sculpture on the Lawn aims to offer our community the joy of art from a distance.
Please enjoy this exhibit safely from your vehicle or by wearing a mask and maintaining a distance of 6 feet from your fellow visitors.
Curator’s Statement
”With the closure of institutions of art as part of social distancing, public art has a role to play in availability. Outdoor sculpture is always available and in spaces that are conducive to social distancing. In this exhibit you don’t even need to get out of your car to enjoy the artwork. Over the duration of the exhibit and multiple encounters – a real relationship with the artwork can form.”
— Rob Lorenson, Guest Curator

ACT’s Aquidneck Growers Markets serve as sales outlets for almost 50 farmers and small food businesses within 50 miles of the center of Aquidneck Island, important to the growth of a regional supply chain and the survival of many local farms.
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC (Women, Infants and Children Program) and Senior Citizen Farmers Market Vouchers are all accepted at our markets in order to ensure that fresh, healthy foods are available to all, no matter their financial circumstances.
We participate in the Fresh Bucks system that allows us to offer Bonus Bucks (an additional $5 free for every $5 withdrawn) for fruit and vegetables to SNAP program customers.
Please visit our website to review our COVID-19 farmers market protocols. Please observe these protocols to ensure the market operates in the most responsible way possible. https://aquidneckcommunitytable.org/market

You can take the boy out of the trailer park, but you can’t take the trailer park out of the boy… Stand-up comedian Dusty Slay grew up on Lot 8 of a mobile home neighborhood in Opelika, Alabama, and his observational comedy and eternally optimistic outlook is peppered with ironies: growing up poor, a love for both hard-core country and classic rock, a career history peppered with jobs like waiting tables and selling pesticides, and what counts as fashion-forward thinking in his world. The trucker hat, long hair and mustache, flannel shirt and oversized glasses aren’t affectations to cultivate a stage persona as the B-side of a 1970-something Bob Seger single—it’s just Slay.
“There’s still a lot of jokes to come. I looked at everything as experience,” he says. “Let’s not get mad about it, let’s enjoy it.”
Just this year, at age 36, Slay has become the youngest comedian to ever perform at the legendary Grand Ole Opry Stage in his adopted hometown of Nashville. He’s notched three appearances in front of “my people” at the Holy Land of country music in less than six months and has also been tapped to host CMA Festival’s Forever Country Stage in June to keep fans laughing between appearances by the biggest stars in country music.
The breakout comedian’s Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring premieres May 16, and he is also set for a second appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this summer. He’s also primed to appear live at Comedy Central’s Clusterfest 2019 in San Francisco, all continuing the momentum from previous sets on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Comic Standing, and Laughs on Fox; regular stints on The Bob & Tom Radio Show; and a host of live appearances across the country.
No drink minimum! All shows are 18+. Proper ID required.
Free parking is available in both lots. Street parking is also available.
As a courtesy to other guests, we ask that there is no talking or heckling during the show.

Whether it’s a song, a style, an idiom or an image, Duke Robillard will render it with mastery, power, nuance and an unerring grasp of its essence.
Born Michael John Robillard on October 4, 1948, in Woonsocket, R.I., Duke has carved out one of blues’ most illustrious legacies, while also trodding some lofty related territories as a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, bandleader, studio sideman, producer, label operator and educator.
After showing an early affinity for music and guitar, he founded Roomful Of Blues with pianist Al Copley in Westerly, R.I., in 1967. By adding horns, Roomful announced itself emphatically as the prototypical jump blues band, and became a New England legend and a fixture beyond, as did Duke himself.
His unsurpassed mastery of the guitar style of T-Bone Walker (later crystallized memorably in his 2004 release “Blue Mood”) was deservedly heralded, but his breadth was also head-turning – from swing, standards and ballads to rockers, gutbucket Chicago blues and rockabilly.
By the time Duke left Roomful after a dozen years, he was firmly established in the upper echelon of contemporary blues guitarists. Duke went from Roomful to a stint with rockabilly revivalist Robert Gordon and then to the first iteration of the Legendary Blues Band, composed primarily of then-recent Muddy Waters sidemen.
The Duke Robillard Band debuted in 1981, re-emerging as The Pleasure Kings with their eponymous 1984 album on Rounder. It and its sequel, “Too Hot To Handle,” burnished Duke’s songwriting portfolio; the 1987 jazz outing “Swing” (with saxophonist Scott Hamilton) underscored his versatility and remains a highlight.
Continuing his solo career, Duke replaced Jimmie Vaughan with The Fabulous Thunderbirds in 1990. He cut his own much-awaited straight blues album “Duke’s Blues” in 1993 for Canadian imprint Stony Plain, leading eventually to a rewarding, continuing and prolific alliance, along with releases during the ensuing years on Point Blank/Virgin and Shanachie, as well as instructional videos. He has also launched his own labels with Jesse Finkelstein, Blue Duchess/Shining Stone.
Duke’s prolificity has included producing albums by Billy Boy Arnold, Joe Louis Walker, Rosco Gordon, Jimmy Witherspoon and Jay McShann, Zuzu Bollin, Billy Price and Otis Clay, Sunny Crownover, Bryan Lee and Al Basile as well as recording two collaborations with Herb Ellis, a pairing with his successor in Roomful, Ronnie Earl, a seat in the New Guitar Summit with J. Geils and Gerry Beaudoin, additional studio credits with Bob Dylan (the well-regarded 1997 “Time Out Of Mind”), Ruth Brown, Johnny Adams, Pinetop Perkins, Snooky Pryor, Al Copley, Todd Sharpville and Tony Z, and touring with Tom Waits in 2006.
Duke’s resume is decorated with Grammy nominations, Handy Awards and Blues Music Awards, and other honors for his artistry, recordings and productions within the United States and internationally. On his latest release, “Duke Robillard and his Dames of Rhythm” on M.C. Records, he wields an acoustic archtop and joins six thrushes for evocative and enjoyable renditions of 1920s and 1930s swing tunes; it’s a worthy successor to his 2016 BMA-winning “The Acoustic Blues And Roots Of Duke Robillard.”
Duke remains based in Rhode Island and a whirlwind as a musician, producer, gardener and photographer. But wait, there’s more: he’s now creating fine art abstract paintings, too! At this point for Duke, versatility and mastery should come as anything but a surprise; it just means more richness in a superlative career for us to celebrate.
by Dick Shurman- Noted blues historian and producer
“One of the great players” BB King
“Robillard is a soloist of stunning force and originality.” the New York Times
“Most everything Duke Robillard has done as a guitarist during the past four-plus decades…bears witness to his musical intelligence and his dedication to his craft”.- Downbeat
“Robillard’s ability to play across the spectrum of blues is legendary. Few players can move stylistically from Texas to Kansas City to Chicago’s West Side, but Robillard makes it seem easy.”- Guitar Player
“A guitarist’s guitarist, prolific producer, and master of all things blues, Duke Robillard walks the tightrope between traditionalism and experimentation…He’s a master of many styles who moves forward while maintaining a firm grounding in the past.”- Blues Revue
GRAMMY Nominations for Best Traditional Blues Album for 2010 Stomp! The Blues Tonight and 2006 Guitar Groove-a-Rama
The Blues Music Awards (formerly W.C.Handy Awards) have named Duke Robillard “Best Blues Guitarist” four years out of five (2000,2001,2003,2004) making him the second most honored guitarist for that award!
He was also nominated in that category in 2005, 2007 2008.

MICHELLE WOLF has quickly become one of the most influential voices in the comedy landscape as she continues on the path of a breakout year, with the Village Voice calling her “the voice comedy needs right now” and The Daily Beast declaring, “Michelle Wolf is the future of stand-up comedy.” She recently served as the executive producer, writer, and host of the critically-acclaimed variety sketch series “The Break with Michelle Wolf” on Netflix. Previously, she made international headlines as the much buzzed-about headliner of the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner.
Wolf debuted her first hour-long stand-up special, “Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady”, on HBO late last year. The well-reviewed special tackled a wide range of topics from her surprising thoughts on feminism, the environment and why Hilary Clinton could not be a “nice lady,” and more of life’s everyday absurdities. She received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special.
Wolf was previously as an on-air contributor and writer for Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” Prior to joining “The Daily Show,” she was a writing supervisor and performer on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” where she also made her late-night television debut in July 2014. She appeared frequently on the show in various bits and as the popular recurring character she created, “Grown-Up Annie.”
Additionally, Wolf created and starred in two digital series, “Now Hiring” and “Used People” for Comedy Central and was a writer on the “88th Academy Awards” hosted by Chris Rock. She was named to Vulture’s “50 Comedians You Should Know in 2015” and was one of “The Top 10 Funniest Women in NYC” by Time Out New York. She was also named to Rolling Stone’s list of the 25 funniest people on Twitter right now (@michelleisawolf) and selected as one of the “New Faces of Comedy” for the 2014 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
Wolf headlines comedy clubs and colleges all over the country and has performed at a number of festivals including Outside Lands, Moontower, Bonnaroo, Just For Laughs Montreal, JFL 42 and the Dublin Comedy Festival. In 2016 she completed an incredibly successful first appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a sold out run of her debut hour-long stand-up show “Michelle Wolf: So Brave.” The critically acclaimed show, which earned her a nomination for the Best Newcomer Prize from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, garnered numerous four-star reviews from top publications such as the Guardian, Herald and Scotsman.
When not crisscrossing the nation on tour, Wolf lives in New York. She is an avid long-distance runner in her limited free time.

Will Evans returns to the Pump House Friday August 28th for an outdoor show! Space is limited!
Will Evans has spent the last decade as the primary songwriter and frontman for the New England based Roots Rock outfit Barefoot Truth. After four albums and 50+ million plays on Pandora & Spotify, he embarked on his solo journey – and has since released three additional full-length albums and toured extensively.
His most recent album “Rise” was nominated for three categories by the New England Music Awards: Album of the Year, Roots Act of the Year, and Video of the Year (“Family Tree”). The album features deeply personal topics of humanity, compassion, and a reflection of the current political times.
A lifelong surfer and environmentalist, his songs speak to the importance of connecting with and protecting the earth. At a time when many are looking for words of inspiration and reassurance, “Rise” delivers a collection of socially conscious songs filled with messages of love, possibility, and inclusion.
In 2018 and 2019, Will joined his good friend Trevor Hall as a member of his touring band and as a frequent supporting act. Together they performed to passionate crowds across North America and Europe. Trevor Hall is featured on “Hoka Hey,” the album’s opening song.
In his live performances, Will displays a technical mastery of live-looping skills to showcase his background in percussion mixed with layers of acoustic guitar and soulful vocals.
Will has shared the stage with many top artists including Crosby & Nash, Grace Potter, Bruce Hornsby, Rusted Root, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Trevor Hall, Nahko, Xavier Rudd, Donavon Frankenreiter, Ryan Montbleau, Railroad Earth and members of Dispatch.
Masks are required for entry and whenever guests are not seated. Anyone not respecting the safety policy will be asked to leave.
