A Minnie Mouse Birthday Party!

Posted by admin on

We hosted this party when my youngest daughter was turning 4 years old, and her favorite TV show was “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”. She wanted to have a Minnie Mouse party, but we decided to theme the party activities around the TV show in which Mickey always has some sort of problem that he needs to solve, and he calls on his tools to help him solve that problem. Here are all of the details from our Minnie Mouse Birthday Party!

After the guests arrived, I explained to them the idea behind our party. Minnie Mouse wanted to help our daughter celebrate her birthday today, so first we needed to head over to Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse to get our party supplies!

We used a small tent set up in our yard, but this Melissa and Doug Clubhouse This is an affiliate link: MomOf6 earns a commission if you purchase, at no additional cost to you. is perfect for this!

While we walked over to the “clubhouse”, I carried a boom box and played the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song( Song #1 from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse CD This is an affiliate link: MomOf6 earns a commission if you purchase, at no additional cost to you. ).

Inside of the clubhouse, the guests found their own set of Minnie Mouse ears This is an affiliate link: MomOf6 earns a commission if you purchase, at no additional cost to you. (on a headband), and a “treasure map” I had drawn with their first clue.

The clue told them that Minnie needs balloons for the birthday party, so the guests have to help Minnie move the balloons from the balloon area (behind a nearby tree) over to where we would be having the party.

But they had to help move them in a special way- they each had to find a partner, stand back to back, place the balloon between their backs, hold hands, and walk as fast to the party area as they could.

I played Song #15 from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse CD as background music for the game!

After the balloon game, they found their next clue, which told them that Minnie knows that the birthday girl loves jelly beans, so next we need to get jelly beans over to the party area for the celebration!

But again, they had to be moved in a special way- on a plastic spoon! Guest scooped up a spoonful of jelly beans at the starting point, and then had to fill up a jelly jar with the beans at the end of the race- going back and forth until the jelly jar was full!

I played Song #6 from the CD that sounded like the “can-can”!

After the jelly beans on a spoon race, the party guests were told that they needed to choose the right tool (“Oh too-dles!”) to help Minnie celebrate our daughter's birthday! (Play Song #2 for Mousekedoer!)

I showed the kids this picture (you can click on it to open and print it), and asked

“What does Minnie need to go to the store to buy a birthday cake? A shoe? A donut? A backpack? Or a piggy bank?”

And of course, the girls all yelled “A piggy bank”!

After the piggy bank craft, the next clue the kids received told them that Minnie needs some fancy clothes for the party!

So everyone needed to race over to the first laundry basket (in another part of the yard), put on dress up clothes This is an affiliate link: MomOf6 earns a commission if you purchase, at no additional cost to you. and jewelry, race back to the party area and take it all off and put it in another big laundry basket as fast as they could! (We played Song #7 for this!)
