Celebrate this weekend with a star-studded line up of events. Awesome Con is back in town and this year they brought the future back to DC. That’s right, you can celebrate the 35th anniversary of Back to the Future with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. The Harlem Globetrotters are also strutting their stuff in the District. Looking to socially distance? You can catch a free outdoor screening of Hairspray. Or take a tour of the famous Mansion on O Street. Scroll down for more ways to line up the stars this weekend.

The Harlem Globetrotters
Don’t miss ankle-breaking moves, jaw-dropping swag and full-court fun. The Harlem Globetrotters are in town raising the popular sport of basketball to an entertaining level. Free Step Workshop
Stepping is a percussive dance form in which the participant’s entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. With a rich history in African American music, step requires style, precision, discipline, strength, creativity, and coordination. Steppers learn choreography and will eventually be eligible to audition to participate in a competition/ performance step team. Sat. Event details.

Free on the Green
You can’t stop the beat! Tony Award-winning Hairspray continues to be one of the most widely produced musicals today. Watch it on the big screen at this free, outdoor movie event. Sat. Event details.
