Make ice pop holders out of Duck Tape to keep those little hands warm this summer.
Popsicles are a staple at our house all summer long, but my little kids hate getting cold fingers from holding them. So I decided to make some cute animal themed popsicle holders out of Duck Tape. Why Duck Tape? It’s waterproof, durable and comes in fun colors, so it’s perfect for this project!

To make your own popsicle holders, you will need the following supplies.
Materials Needed
- Duck Tape, Assorted Colors
- Rotary Cutter, Ruler and Cutting Mat
- Hot Glue Gue + Glue Sticks
- Craft Blade
- Googly Eyes
Instructions
Step 1: Cut two 12 inch strips of Duck Tape. Trim about 1/4″ off one long side of one of the pieces.
Step 2: Place the larger piece sticky side up, then place the smaller piece on top, sticky sides together. Fold the strip in half, using the exposed sticky strips along each side to attach it together to form a pocket. Trim off any parts that didn’t line up perfectly.
Step 3: Make an animal face by cutting out the shapes out of Duck Tape. Use scissors or a craft blade.
Step 4: Add googly eyes and draw on other details like the mouth or nose. Attach the animal face to the pocket with hot glue.
Then you’re all done! Slip a frozen ice pop into the pocket and no more freezing little fingers.
