Handprint Flower Pot:

Supplies:

  • Small terracotta pot
  • Acrylic paint in various colors
  • Paintbrush
  • Potting soil
  • Flower seeds

Instructions:

  1. Paint the child’s hand with the desired color of paint.
  2. Press their hand onto the terracotta pot, making sure to cover the surface area.
  3. Allow the paint to dry and then use a paintbrush to add stems and leaves to the handprint flowers.
  4. Fill the pot with potting soil and plant the flower seeds according to the package instructions.
  5. Water the seeds and place the pot in a sunny spot.

DIY Mother’s Day Card

Supplies:

  • Colored construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers
  • Stickers

Instructions:

  1. Fold a piece of construction paper in half to create a card.
  2. Cut out hearts or flowers from different colors of construction paper.
  3. Glue the hearts or flowers onto the front of the card.
  4. Write a message inside the card using markers and decorate it with stickers.

Felt Flower Hair Clip:

Supplies:

  • Felt sheets in various colors
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hair clip

Instructions:

  1. Cut out flower shapes from the felt sheets.
  2. Layer the flowers and glue them together using the hot glue gun.
  3. Cut out a small circle from felt and glue it to the back of the flower.
  4. Glue the hair clip to the back of the small felt circle.
  5. Allow the glue to dry completely before using the hair clip.

Personalized Apron:

Supplies:

  • Plain apron
  • Fabric paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Stencils (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Lay the apron flat and decide on the design that you want to paint on it.
  2. Use stencils to create a design or freehand a design onto the apron using fabric paint and a paintbrush.
  3. Allow the paint to dry completely before giving the apron to your mom.

DIY Scented Sachets:

Supplies:

  • Fabric squares
  • Lavender buds
  • Sewing machine or needle and thread

Instructions:

  1. Cut fabric squares into desired size.
  2. Sew three sides of the squares together, leaving one side open.
  3. Fill the sachets with lavender buds.
  4. Sew the open side closed.
  5. Decorate the sachets with ribbons or lace.

Painted Picture Frame:

Supplies:

  • Plain wooden picture frame
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Decorative items (such as glitter or stickers)

Instructions:

  1. Paint the picture frame with acrylic paint.
  2. Allow the paint to dry completely.
  3. Add glitter or stickers to the frame for decoration.

Tissue Paper Flowers:

Supplies:

  • Tissue paper in various colors
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Cut the tissue paper into a square.
  2. Fold the tissue paper like an accordion, making sure to keep the folds even.
  3. Wrap a pipe cleaner around the center of the accordion and twist it to secure.
  4. Use scissors to round the edges of the tissue paper to create the petals.
  5. Gently pull each layer of tissue paper towards the center to create the flower.
