Trains Enchanted Express

  • Saturday, September 3rd
  • Cheekwood
  • This family-friendly event will celebrate the expansion of the original exhibit with over 235 feet being added on plus three new track loops! Guests can expect a train-themed craft and storytime, train talks with Conductor Chuck, popsicles from Kings of Pops, and 50% off all trains merchandise in the Gardens Gift Shop. Admission for this event is included in a general admission pass for Cheekwood.

Live on the Green

  • Thursday, September 1st through Monday, September 5th
  • Public Square Park, Downtown Nashville
  • A free musical event with a lineup including Sheryl Crow, Moon Taxi and many others! *Dog-friendly

Free Slice Night

  • Tuesday, September 6th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Five Points Pizza (East Nashville and Charlotte Ave. locations)
  • Five Points Pizza is hosting the annual Free Slice Night at both their East Nashville and Charlotte Avenue locations. Stop by for a free slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza from the walk-up window on the east side and the walk-up counter on the west side. They will offer one free slice per person while supplies last.

Full Moon Pickin Party

  • Friday, September 16th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Percy Warner Park
  • Bring your acoustic instrument to participate in the jam circles around the barn or just sit back and enjoy the bluegrass bands on stage.

Cheekwood Harvest

  • Saturday, September 17th through Sunday, October 30th
  • Cheekwood Botanical Gardens
  • Celebrate all things fall during Cheekwood Harvest. The changing of the leaves are one of many garden highlights you’ll find as oaks, maples, dogwoods, and other trees greet you with their fall colors. Activities and experiences designed for kids, adults and families alike, make this six-week celebration the perfect time visit Cheekwood.

Goblins and Giggles

  • Saturday, September 10th through Monday, October 31st
  • Gaylord Opryland
  • Opryland’s family-friendly Halloween activities and all-ages seasonal entertainment offer fall fun with peace of mind. Jack-o-lantern walk, trick-or-treating, Ghoul School, scavenger hunts, animal encounters, Ghouls Night Out boat cruise and more!

Honeysuckle Hill Farm Fall Festival

  • September 24th through October 30th (check their website for available dates as some are reserved for field trips, etc)

Hermitage Ghost 

  • Friday, September 23rd, 6:30 p.m. through Friday, September 30th, 10 p.m. tour
  • The Hermitage
  • Explore the haunted side of history during our Hermitage Ghost Tours! After dark this fall, embark on a distinctly spooky voyage at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage as you explore the mansion, grounds and cemetery by lantern light. Along the way, guides present stories of strange encounters such as the ghosts of the Battle of New Orleans and Jackson’s infamous meeting with Tennessee’s Bell Witch. Beware of eerie encounters, possibly even with President Jackson himself.

Pooch Pool Party

  • Saturday, September 24th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Nashville Shores
  • Nashville Shores is partnering with New Leash on Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness for the 5th annual Pooch Pool Party. Nashville Shores is opening its gates on Saturday, September 24 from 11 am – 4 pm and allowing owners to bring their dogs to the Wave Pool for a Dog Only Swim Day.* See requirements on their website here!

Pilgrimage Festival

  • Pilgrimage Festival is a two-day music and cultural festival including a variety of bands like Chris Stapleton, The Avett Brothers and many more! Children’s activities, vendors and more during the festival.
