Fourth of July events — from fireworks to picnics to parades — are scheduled across the Inland Empire.
Some events begin Friday, June 24, and occur this weekend. Many will take place on the holiday weekend or the holiday itself.
Independence Day celebrations include the following.
Riverside County
CORONA
Corona’s Main Street USA Independence Day Parade will be Monday, July 4.
It will begin at 9 a.m. on Main Street and move from Ontario Avenue to Olive Street. After the event, a celebration with live music, food and fireworks will be at Santana Regional Park, 598 Santana Way. Fireworks start at sundown.
Preferred parking is available in advance online through Thursday, June 30, as space permits. Parking will be $20 the day of the event. Free parking is available at Crossroads Christian Church, 2331 Kellogg Ave.

EASTVALE
The Picnic in the Park is set for Friday, June 24, through Sunday, June 26, at Eastvale Community Park.
The event, sponsored by the Jurupa Community Services District, will feature concerts, carnival rides, bounce houses, a beer garden, food and vendors. Tickets are $1 in advance and $5 the day of the event. An admission ticket is required for each guest and for each day. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Saturday. The park is at 12750 Citrus St.

LAKE ELSINORE
The Kids Bike Parade will take place during Lake Elsinore’s Party in the Park at Summerly Park on Monday, July 4.
The event is from 10 a.m. to noon at the park, 18505 Malaga Road. Supplies to decorate bikes will be available. The parade is set for 10:30 a.m.
Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Fireworks viewing locations include Lakepoint Park, Summerly Park, Swick & Matich Park and Whiskers Fishing Beach. Paid viewing locations include commercial campgrounds, Launch Pointe, The Diamond stadium and by boat on the lake.

MENIFEE
Menifee’s Independence Celebration is set for Saturday, June 25, at Wheatfield Park.
A community parade will be at 4 p.m. on La Piedra Road, which will be closed from Antelope Road to Menifee Road. The celebration includes a kids’ zone, food and craft vendors and a beer garden. Live music is set for the park, 30627 Menifee Road.
Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Parking is at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Menifee Valley Campus.

MORENO VALLEY
A parade, Family FunFest and fireworks are set in Moreno Valley on Monday, July 4.
Those attending the FunFest at the Civic Center Amphitheater should bring lawn chairs, umbrellas or canopies because seating is limited. The event will include a beer garden, food vendors and live bands. Gates open at 2 p.m. After 4 p.m., admission is $3 per person but children under 5 are free. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. The amphitheater is at 14075 Frederick St.
The parade will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon. It starts at Frederick Street and Alessandro Boulevard, moving north on Frederick Street, then west onto Towngate Boulevard.

MURRIETA
Fireworks will celebrate Murrieta’s 31st anniversary at the annual Birthday Bash on Saturday, June 25.
The event, set for California Oaks Sports Park, is from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will include family activities, live entertainment, a 4 p.m. hose-down by firefighters and food vendors. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.

NORCO
Horse riders are invited to the Norco Mayor’s Equestrian Trail Ride and costume contest Monday, July 4.
The event is at the George Ingalls Event Center, 3737 Crestview Drive. Parking is in lot 2. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m.; the ride departs at 9:30 a.m. Prizes will go to the most patriotic horse and rider. Riders under 18 must wear helmets.
A picnic in the park is set for 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pikes Peak Park, 97 Sixth Street. The free event will include live music, crafts and activities. Food and drinks can be purchased.

RIVERSIDE
The Concert for Heroes will return and is set for Sunday, July 3, at Riverside National Cemetery.
The 7:30 p.m. show will be in the amphitheater at the cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. The Riverside Philharmonic, led by Music Director Tomasz Golka, will perform. The event will also feature fireworks and a possible flyover. There is seating in the amphitheater, but guests should bring lawn chairs and flashlights.

TEMECULA
A Star Spangled Parade will begin at 10 a.m. in Old Town Temecula on Monday, July 4.
Parking is at the Old Town Parking Garage and will be available until 9:45 a.m. via Mercedes Street. Old Town Front Street will be closed from 9 a.m. until noon.
A celebration will continue at Ronald Reagan Sports Park, 30875 Rancho Vista Road, and will include food vendors, a kids zone and entertainment. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.

San Bernardino County
CHINO
A celebration and fireworks show is set for the holiday weekend at Ruben S. Ayala Park.
The event will include live performances, food, booths, carnival rides and games. The celebrations start at 4 p.m. Friday, July 1, and 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2. Fireworks will start at 9 p.m. Saturday. The park is at 14225 Central Ave.

HIGHLAND
A parade is set for 9 a.m. Monday, July 4, in Highland.
It will start at the corner of Church Avenue and Base Line Street, and move west on Base Line, south on Central Avenue and end at the Highland Family YMCA.
Fireworks are set for Immanuel Baptist Church, 28355 Base Line. Gates open at 6 p.m. The event will include food, music and activities. Guests should bring blankets and lawn chairs.

REDLANDS
Independence Day activities in Redlands will start at 9 a.m. Monday, July 4, at Sylvan Park, and conclude with a fireworks show at Moore Middle School.
Free festivities at the park, 601 N. University St., will include live music, games and booths. A parade around the park is set for 10:30 a.m.
The school will open at 5:15 p.m., and celebrations there will include a live music, skydivers, flyovers and fireworks. The campus is at 1550 E. Highland Ave.
Tickets are required for the event at the school and are $12 in advance or $15 that day. They can be bought at the City Clerk’ Office, 35 Cajon St.; Gerrards Market, 705 W Cypress Ave.; or online.

YUCAIPA
A Fourth of July celebration set for 5 p.m. Monday, July 4, will end with fireworks at 9 p.m.
The event will be at Yucaipa High School, 33000 Yucaipa Blvd. Festivities will include live entertainment, games, food and merchandise vendors. Parking is $10.

CLAREMONT
Claremont’s day of celebration Monday, July 4, starts at 7 a.m.
A pancake breakfast will be at Memorial Park, 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd. A parade is set for 10 a.m. at the park and will move south on Indian Hill, west on Harrison Avenue and end at Larkin Park.
The Kiwanis Club will serve barbecued food at 5 p.m. The Ravelers will perform at 6 p.m. The concert replaces a fireworks show, which was canceled because of new water restrictions due to the drought.

LA VERNE
La Verne’s celebration will include a parade and fireworks Monday, July 4.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. at the corner of 10th and D streets. Fireworks will follow at Bonita High School, 3102 D St. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show. Tickets are $10 per person for those 5 and older. Children 4 and under are free.

POMONA
A day of entertainment is set for Monday, July 4, and organized by Pomona Fairplex and Unity Day LA.
A free 1.5-mile walk at 10 a.m. will be followed by the unveiling of a Harriet Tubman statue at Lincoln Park, 400 Lincoln Ave.
Afternoon events start at 2:30 p.m. at Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave. Activities will include boxing, live performances, food and fireworks. General admission begins at $15.99 for children and $39.99 for adults.
