Summer is here and for foodies in the capital, that means one thing: new summer menus! Both Gung Ho! and Panorama recently released their 2023 summer menus and wow do they have some great gems to try!
Gung Ho!
Pizza joint and third-place winner of our 2023 Cheesy Pizza Cup Gung Ho! have loads of great new dishes on their summer menu, but the most exciting one has to be their calzones. They have two to choose from. The first is their Classico Calzone (RMB 79), which is stuffed with mozzarella cheese, basil, cherry tomato, smoked cheese, parmesan cheese, and tomato sauce; and their second is simply dubbed the Calzone (RMB 79), which is filled with bacon, pepperoni, ham, minced pork, mozzarella and tomato sauce.
Along with the calzones they also have four new pizzas to try. For cheese lovers, there's the Prosciutto and Burrata (RMB 149), which has prosciutto, mozzarella cheese, arugula, and a whole burrata cheese in the middle, or the Mortadella (RMB 99), which comes topped with mortadella, pesto, and mozzarella cheese. If you want a bit of spice then a must-try is the Spicy Beef (RMB 99) featuring shallots, minced beef, chili, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce. Or for a more unusual offering, there is the Mediterranean Fish (RMB 89) which is topped with snapper, black olives, capers, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and spinach.
Moving away from pizza, meat lovers will be happy with these new additions: Smoked Angus Beef (RMB 168), Iberian Pork Ribs (RMB 168), and Roasted Crispy Chicken (RMB 88). They’ve also got a plethora of new side dishes such as Italian Meatballs (RMB 58), Basil Sauce Mushrooms (RMB 48) or Baked Spinach (RMB 38). French restaurant Panorama is known for their crepes and on their 2023 summer menu they have an intriguing one to try: Pepperoni (RMB 98)! Yes, they’ve taken this famous pizza topping and stuffed it inside one of their delicious buckwheat crepes along with plenty of mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and basil to make a pizza-esque galette.
For mussel fans, they’ve added a new sauce variation: Homemade Spicy Mix (RMB 148) as well as a couple of other seafood updates. They’ve added Halibut (RMB 148) which sees pan-fired halibut with asparagus, quinoa, chive crisps, and butter, and Panorama Salmon (RMB 158) which features marinated salmon with spinach, asparagus, dry shallots flavored breadcrumbs, whole grain mustard sauce and onion sauce.

They’ve also added some meaty mains with a Duck Leg Confit (RMB 118) served with mashed potato, mushroom, tomato sauce, and baked tomato and Beef Lasagna (RMB 78) that keeps things classic with lasagna sheets, Bolognese, parmesan, goats cheese mozzarella, and basil.
