As a Bridal shower gift to my sister-in-law, I found this cute recipe box with matching cards that I hand-wrote over 40 of my favorite recipes in to share with her. Writing out the recipes took some time, but it was an enjoyable process and fun to share recipes I’ve found in the past few years, as well as family favorites.
This recipe box had an adorable kitchen theme and a clip on the front to hold the recipe while cooking. When I purchased this recipe box, it included dividers, so I tried to include a few recipes to go into each category.
Some of the handwritten recipes included:
Breakfasts:
- Egg Bake
- Classic French Toast
- French Toast Casserole
Side Dishes:
- Cheesy Potatoes
- Homemade French Fries
- Pea Salad
- Cookie Salad
- Pretzel Salad
- Green Bean Casserole
Main Dishes:
- Taco Soup
- Lasagna
- Tator Tot Hot Dish
- Chili
- Chicken Enchiladas
- Crockpot Chicken Chili
Breads:
- Banana Bread
- Lemon Poppyseed Muffins
- Chocolate Banana Muffins
- Monkey Bread
- Pumpkin Bread
- Banana Muffins
Dessert:
- Peanut Butter Brownies
- Ice Cream Cake Dessert
- Monster Cookies
- No-Bake Cookies
- Cake Mix Bars
- 7-Layer Bars
Other:
- Recipe for a Happy Marriage
- Chicken Dipping Sauce
- Berry Punch
Along with the recipe cards I wrote on, I also included another set of cards, so she could continue filling the box.
This is a perfect idea for someone looking to give a personalized gift, as it isn’t too expensive to purchase the box and recipe cards, and can be a fun way to pass along family loved recipes. I have received many recipes from family members, which are really special, as they are great recipes, but it is also special to see that family member’s handwriting too.
