My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 37 of 52

Posted by admin on

Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:

Remodel The Kitchen

The good news is I only have 1 more coat of white paint to add to the walls in the kitchen.

The bad news is that since the kitchen wall connects to the wall that’s behind the canning cupboard, I’ll have to take all the jars out so I can move the cupboard to paint behind it.

Oh well. At least now I’ll be able to count how many jars are in there.

Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!

I hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker.

The cabinets are slated to be installed the first week in October and the AGA will be delivered the week after that. Countertops will likely be installed 4-6 weeks AFTER the cabinets are in so that means we will be without any plumbing in the kitchen {sink, dishwasher} until those are done.

I stocked up on paper plates and bowls since we’ll be without a sink for 4-6 weeks. Should be fun. 🙂

Fill the Canning Cupboard

The canning cupboard is almost full!

So far this year I have canned:

Not canned, but in jars:

Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.

Anyone know what the going rate for acorns is? 🙂 I think I’ll list a few boxes in my Etsy shop tonight and see what happens.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.

Corn and squash are what’s it’s all about these days.

Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.

HA HA HA. What can I say. Some months are better than others.

Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}

It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.

Make a Quilt Top

No comment.

1 Craft / Blog Free Day a Week {I’ve had 36 craft/blog free days this year so far.}

Lucy and I spent an entire day in the garden moving the raspberry and blueberry plants from the religious garden to the kitchen garden for the winter.

The HH has plans for amending the soil down in the religious garden next week so we figured we might as well move everything while we can.  This way he will be able to till everything up and create new rows for next year.

Be More Intentional With My Time

I stayed in, worked in the garden, dyed wool and finished a few rugs. It was a good week. Busy, but good.

Keep My Husband Busy

The HH’s big project this week was replacing the door and glass gaskets on the wood stove door. I don’t think this was an especially fun task, but he did it and now we’re all ready to heat our home with wood this winter. Yee-Haw.

Thank goodness for handy husbands.
