Additions & Substitutions:
BONE-IN PORK CHOPS: The below instructions are for boneless pork chops, but you can also make this recipe with bone-in chops. Follow the same directions but bake them for longer. Depending on how thick your pork chops are, bake them for up to 45 – 50 minutes, until cooked through.
MAYO: This tasty twist adds mayo for a creamy base under the breadcrumbs. Before dipping your pork chops in breadcrumbs, spread mayo on each side. You’ll need 3 – 4 tbsp of mayo total.
How to Make Parmesan Pork Chops:
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
STEP 2: On a large plate, mix together the breadcrumbs, seasonings and parmesan cheese.
STEP 3: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and then rub each one with olive oil.
STEP 4: Place the pork chops in the coating on the plate one at a time. Press one side of the pork chop and then the other, making sure to fully cover each one.
STEP 5: Add the pork chops to a 9 x 9 inch baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 30 – 40 minutes. Serve with your favorite steamed veggies.
PRO TIP: The cooking time for your pork chops will vary depending on how thick they are. Use a meat thermometer to check that they are cooked through (internal temperature of at least 145 degrees).
Cooking parmesan pork chops only takes a couple of simple steps. First, you toss the pork chops in a breadcrumb and parmesan cheese mixture. Once the pork chops are coated, they cook in the oven for 30 – 40 minutes.
How to cook on The Stove:
Yes, this recipe can be adapted to cook on your stove. Instead of adding the pork chops to a baking pan, once they’re breaded add them to a skillet with some olive oil. Cook for 4 – 5 minutes on each side, until the juices run clear.
You can also pan fry these pork chops in a skillet for several minutes and then throw them in the oven to finish cooking. This allows the chops to get a nice sear and then cook up to the correct temperature, an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
